Position Overview: ELV Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated ELV Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dammam. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in low current systems and a passion for delivering high-quality technical solutions. The ELV Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, reviewing, and implementing ELV systems, including CCTV, access control, fire alarms, structured cabling, and public address systems, in accordance with project specifications and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless execution from design to commissioning, while maintaining rigorous attention to safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• System Design and Documentation: Develop technical designs, shop drawings, and schematics for ELV systems, ensuring alignment with project requirements and applicable codes. Review and validate technical documentation to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
• Project Coordination and Execution: Assist in project planning by preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and obtaining quotations from suppliers. Coordinate with stakeholders, including contractors and clients, to facilitate smooth site implementation and address technical requirements.
• Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of ELV systems, including CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and structured cabling. Conduct thorough system checks to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Site Surveys and Compliance: Perform detailed site surveys to assess project feasibility and identify potential challenges. Ensure all ELV systems adhere to relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues during installation and post-commissioning phases. Provide expert guidance to project managers and clients, offering solutions to enhance system reliability and functionality.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including design modifications, testing results, and compliance documentation. Prepare comprehensive reports to track project progress and address any deviations from the plan.

Qualifications and Skills

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in ELV and low current systems, including CCTV, access control, fire alarms, intrusion detection, public address systems, and structured cabling. Familiarity with IP-based systems and integration with IT infrastructure is highly desirable.
• Design and Drafting Proficiency: Strong knowledge of system design principles and experience in creating technical drawings and schematics using tools such as AutoCAD. Ability to interpret construction drawings and project specifications with precision.
• Project Management: Demonstrated ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient project execution. Experience in preparing BOQs and managing supplier quotations is a plus.
• Safety and Compliance: Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and building codes. Attention to detail in ensuring systems meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, project teams, and stakeholders. Strong problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges on-site.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Communications, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience in ELV engineering will also be considered.
• Technical Tools: Proficiency in design and documentation software, including AutoCAD and MS Office Suite, as well as basic project reporting tools.
