Rolling Stock Technician

The primary role of the Rolling Stock Technician (RST) is to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our RST equipment through meticulous preventive and corrective maintenance. This involves adhering to relevant regulations, industry best practices, and international benchmarks.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing and addressing disruptions in RST equipment.
• Executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks as per instructions from superior personnel.
• Preparing necessary materials, tools, and workshop equipment for maintenance activities.
• Documenting failures and submitting reports through our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Assisting the RST Shift Supervisor in their tasks.
• Operating special tools, equipment, and maintenance vehicles to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
• Conducting safety and operational checks on railway vehicles before and after shunting.
• Coordinating and shunting trains to and from maintenance workspaces.
• Performing power-up and shut-down operations of trains and their components.
• Connecting/disconnecting railway vehicles with/from power supply sources.
• Driving emergency response vehicles in service lines during emergency rescue situations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Vocational training in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical fields (electrician, wireman, machinist, refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic, machine tool maintenance mechanic) with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience working in maintenance for complex technical systems, preferably in railway/metro RST operation and maintenance organizations, with a focus on brake systems, HVAC, TMS, propulsion, door, bogie, and suspension systems.
• Experience handling Depot Workshop Equipments is an added advantage.
