Position Overview

As a Junior Front-End Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and maintenance of modern web applications and user interfaces. Collaborating closely with seasoned developers, designers, and product teams, you will assist in building responsive, accessible, and visually compelling digital experiences while honing your technical skills. This role is tailored for early-career professionals, recent graduates, or individuals with hands-on experience through internships, freelance work, or personal projects, all eager to establish a strong foundation in front-end development.

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Development

• Develop responsive and mobile-friendly web pages using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Assist in creating reusable UI components and interactive user interfaces to enhance functionality and user engagement.
• Transform UI/UX design mockups into clean, functional, and responsive web applications.
• Optimize websites and applications for speed, performance, and usability to ensure seamless user interactions.
• Test and maintain compatibility across modern browsers and devices to guarantee a consistent experience.

Application Maintenance

• Debug and resolve front-end issues and performance bottlenecks to maintain application integrity.
• Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of existing web applications.
• Assist in implementing new features and improving overall user experience.
• Perform routine code updates and maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability.

Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with UI/UX designers, back-end developers, and product managers to align development efforts with project goals.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Contribute to code reviews and team discussions to uphold coding standards and best practices.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and technical solutions clearly and effectively to stakeholders.

Code Quality

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code to facilitate future development and troubleshooting.
• Adhere to coding standards, development best practices, and version control procedures to ensure consistency and reliability.
• Participate in testing, quality assurance, and bug-fixing activities to deliver high-quality products.
• Continuously refine coding skills through mentorship, feedback, and self-directed learning.

Continuous Learning

• Stay abreast of emerging front-end technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Learn new frameworks, tools, and development methodologies to expand technical expertise.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–2 years of experience in front-end development or web development.
• Internship, freelance, academic, or personal project experience is highly encouraged.
• Basic understanding of responsive web design principles.
• Familiarity with Git version control.

Required Technical Skills

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Basic experience with React.js, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Understanding of responsive CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON.
• Basic understanding of browser developer tools and debugging techniques.
• Knowledge of responsive design, web accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing personal, academic, or portfolio web projects.
• Familiarity with TypeScript.
• Basic knowledge of state management libraries (Redux, Context API, Pinia, etc.).
• Experience working with Figma or other design collaboration tools.
• Familiarity with Vite, Webpack, npm, or Yarn.
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
