Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in managing the company’s financial health by overseeing accurate recording, tracking, and correction of financial transactions. Your expertise will ensure compliance with accounting standards, support financial audits, and maintain the integrity of financial records throughout the fiscal year. Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities designed to maintain the company’s fiscal stability and transparency. Your core duties will include:

• Financial Transaction Management: Accurately record, summarize, and classify financial transactions to ensure the integrity of the company’s financial data.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable processes, including payroll and fixed asset accounting, to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.
• Month-End & Year-End Close Processes: Lead the preparation and completion of month-end and year-end financial closings, guaranteeing that all financial reports are accurate, compliant, and delivered on schedule.
• Audit Support & Compliance: Provide comprehensive support during financial audits, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. Identify and address any financial discrepancies or irregularities promptly.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of bank statements to verify financial accuracy, resolve discrepancies efficiently, and maintain up-to-date financial records.
• Internal Controls & Policy Adherence: Uphold robust accounting controls by strictly following company policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard financial information and mitigate risks.
• Team Collaboration & Guidance: Mentor and coordinate activities for accounting clerical staff, providing guidance, resolving queries, and fostering a collaborative work environment to enhance team productivity.
• Data Security & Backup: Ensure the security of financial information by executing regular database backups and implementing measures to protect sensitive financial data from unauthorized access or loss.

Qualifications & Competencies

To excel in this role, candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with relevant professional certifications such as CPA or CMA being a plus. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Proven experience in accounting, financial reporting, and audit support.
