Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dell Storage & Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team in Alkhobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing Dell storage solutions and infrastructure to ensure seamless operations, high availability, and robust performance for our enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Dell storage technologies, a strong problem-solving mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Storage Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Dell storage systems, including PowerStore, PowerScale, PowerVault, and Compellent solutions, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Solution Design & Implementation: Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to design tailored storage solutions that align with business requirements, security protocols, and compliance standards. Lead the implementation of these solutions with a focus on efficiency and minimal disruption.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Proactively monitor storage infrastructure using advanced tools and methodologies to identify bottlenecks, predict failures, and implement corrective actions. Optimize storage resources to enhance performance and reduce operational costs.
• Disaster Recovery & Data Protection: Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery plans, ensuring data integrity and business continuity. Implement and test backup, replication, and failover strategies using Dell technologies and third-party solutions.
• Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for storage-related incidents, conducting root cause analysis and executing timely resolutions to minimize downtime and impact on operations.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry best practices and organizational policies for data security, access control, and regulatory compliance. Implement encryption, access management, and auditing measures to safeguard sensitive information.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and external partners to align storage initiatives with broader IT strategies. Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with Dell and other technology partners to stay abreast of the latest advancements, updates, and best practices. Represent the organization in vendor meetings and technical discussions to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in storage infrastructure engineering, with a strong focus on Dell technologies. Certifications such as Dell EMC Storage Administrator (DES-1D1), Dell EMC PowerStore Specialist, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Dell storage platforms, including PowerStore, PowerScale, PowerVault, and Compellent. Familiarity with storage protocols (iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, SMB), virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud integration (AWS, Azure, or private cloud).
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to diagnose complex technical issues, develop innovative solutions, and implement corrective measures under pressure. Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
• Project Management: Experience in managing storage-related projects from inception to completion, including planning, execution, and post-implementation review. Familiarity with Agile or ITIL frameworks is a plus.
