Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surveyor Monitoring professional to join our esteemed team at Applus in Riyadh. This critical role is designed for individuals who possess a strong background in surveying, inspection, and compliance monitoring within the construction, infrastructure, or industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to project specifications, regulatory standards, and quality benchmarks, thereby contributing to the successful execution of projects across Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Inspection and Compliance: Conduct thorough on-site inspections to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable regulations. Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, including photographic evidence, measurement data, and observations, to document inspection findings. Submit comprehensive reports to stakeholders, highlighting any deviations or non-compliance issues and recommending corrective actions.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with project teams to implement quality control measures and ensure that materials, workmanship, and construction practices meet the highest standards. Identify potential risks or deficiencies and propose solutions to mitigate them.
• Regulatory and Safety Compliance: Monitor adherence to local, national, and international safety regulations, as well as environmental and health standards. Verify that all personnel and equipment comply with safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
• Technical Expertise: Utilize advanced surveying tools, such as total stations, GPS devices, and laser scanners, to perform precise measurements and assessments. Stay updated with the latest industry technologies and methodologies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of surveying activities.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between project managers, engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Facilitate clear and timely communication to address concerns, resolve disputes, and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field. Professional certifications such as RICS, CICES, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in surveying, inspection, or monitoring roles within the construction, oil and gas, infrastructure, or industrial sectors. Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity is a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Profound knowledge of surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Leica GeoOffice) and surveying instruments. Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) is advantageous.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail. Capable of interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
• Communication and Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and present findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Certifications: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively across project sites in Riyadh and surrounding regions. Health and safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are preferred.
