Key Responsibilities

As a Delivery Driver at Eastern Glory Logistics, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Safe and Efficient Deliveries: Operate company vehicles to transport goods from distribution centers to designated delivery locations, ensuring all deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with safety protocols.
• Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers, addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have regarding their deliveries.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition, reporting any issues to the maintenance team promptly.
• Route Optimization: Plan and follow the most efficient routes to minimize delivery times and fuel consumption, utilizing GPS and other navigation tools as needed.
• Documentation and Compliance: Accurately record delivery details, including time, location, and any special instructions, while ensuring compliance with local traffic laws and company policies.
• Load Management: Secure and organize cargo within the vehicle to prevent damage during transit, adhering to weight and balance guidelines.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and other team members to coordinate logistics operations and ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License: A clean and valid Saudi driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry heavy items, as well as perform tasks that require standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
• Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting tight deadlines.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, route planning software, and basic vehicle maintenance procedures is a plus.
