As a key member of our executive team, the VP Finance will provide strategic financial leadership and oversight to support RUA's vision to be an inspiring beacon of knowledge for future generations, integrating culture and arts, empowering students to discover passions and develop talents while fostering creativity and cultural exchange.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the chief financial officer, advising the President and Board of Trustees on all fiscal matters and ensuring the financial sustainability and well-being of the University and Academies.
• Establish strong fiscal processes and policies, ensuring long-term economic sustainability and promoting a culture of responsible fiscal operations.
• Lead the annual operating and capital budget/planning processes, financial risk assessment, financial reporting and analysis, and ensure the accuracy of all fiscal activities.
• Build and maintain digital finance information systems, establish a robust procurement function, and ensure legal, statutory, regulatory, and tax compliance.
• Represent RUA to external stakeholders, including auditors, regulatory authorities, and donors.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in a senior finance leadership role, with preferably 10+ years in a reputed institute of higher education.
• Extensive knowledge and exposure to various sub-functions of finance, including controllership, legal, accounting, fundraising, and non-profit.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, with a CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proven ability to set up robust systems and processes, manage financial assets, provide strategic direction, build high-performing teams, and generate cost savings.
