Head of Financial Reporting

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Financial Reporting to lead and oversee the financial reporting processes for Cenomi Centers. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial reporting while providing critical insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial accounting, regulatory compliance, and leadership, with a proven ability to manage complex financial consolidation and reporting across multiple subsidiaries and business units.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting Leadership: Spearhead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate financial close processes to meet internal and external stakeholder requirements.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to international and local accounting standards, including IFRS, SOCPA, GAAP, and IAS, as well as compliance with CMA regulations and other statutory requirements.
• Financial Consolidation & Reconciliation: Oversee the consolidation of financial data, account reconciliations, and reporting across all subsidiaries and business units to maintain consistency and accuracy in financial statements.
• Financial Analysis & Insights: Review financial statements, project accounting, forecasts, and cost analyses to provide actionable insights that drive informed business decisions.
• ERP System Management: Collaborate with the IT team to optimize and maintain ERP accounting systems, ensuring they support efficient financial operations and reporting.
• Audit Coordination: Lead the coordination of external audits, providing comprehensive support to auditors throughout the audit process to ensure a smooth and compliant review.
• Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Support Zakat and VAT requirements, ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting obligations.
• Investment Property Valuation: Review the fair valuation of investment properties and related financial assumptions to maintain transparency and accuracy in financial disclosures.
• Strategic Financial Support: Perform additional duties and special financial analyses as required by senior management to support long-term financial planning and growth initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Accounting is highly preferred.
• Professional Certification: Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CIMA, CA, or ACCA.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in financial accounting and management accounting, including 2 to 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of regulatory requirements for listed companies, including CMA regulations and accounting standards (IFRS, SOCPA, GAAP, IAS). Experience in the real estate industry or a related sector is advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience in complex group-wide accounting and reporting, preferably within a publicly listed company. Strong knowledge of international accounting standards and ERP systems is essential.
