Position Overview
The CAMO Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the continuous airworthiness and operational integrity of aircraft by overseeing maintenance activities, compliance with regulatory standards, and adherence to approved maintenance programs. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex engineering tasks within a dynamic and high-pressure environment. The CAMO Engineer will collaborate closely with maintenance organizations, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders to uphold the highest standards of aircraft safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance Oversight: Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted by authorized organizations in strict accordance with the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP), approved maintenance data, and relevant airworthiness directives. Verify that maintenance is completed on schedule and meets the required standards.
- Modifications and Repairs: Oversee the execution of modifications and repairs to ensure they are performed to approved standards and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure timely application of mandatory airworthiness directives and service bulletins, as well as the replacement of service life-limited parts and components. Coordinate scheduled maintenance activities to maintain compliance and operational readiness.
- Defect Rectification: Manage the identification and rectification of known defects in accordance with approved aircraft maintenance data, ensuring all issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
- Record Management: Maintain and declare all continuing airworthiness records, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and securely stored. Oversee the management of mass and balance statements to reflect the current aircraft status.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between the Maintenance Organization and Airbus Saudi Ltd-CAMO, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration to support operational and technical objectives.
- Airworthiness Arrangements: Develop, review, and apply continuing airworthiness management arrangements in coordination with the aircraft operator and relevant authorities. Analyze non-mandatory service bulletins and communicate findings to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
- Technical Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of Aircraft on Ground (AOG), Aircraft on Line (AOL), Configuration Management (COM), and Service Information Letters (SIL) to assess their impact on operations and compliance. Evaluate Configuration Control Board (CCB) decisions and report on cancellations and technical delays.
- Work Order Management: Design and implement comprehensive work orders for fleet maintenance, including Maintenance Significant Items, engineering modifications, repair orders, and scheduled inspections. Ensure all tasks are executed in accordance with approved procedures and timelines.
- Engine Condition Monitoring: Monitor and report on Engine Condition Trend Monitoring (ECTM) data to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions to maintain engine performance and reliability.
- Documentation and Reporting: Review and update aircraft manuals and AMPs with support from AMTAC. Produce reliability documents for aircraft and components, ensuring all maintenance data is processed, stored, and reported accurately.
- Hold and Pending Item Management: Supervise the Hold Item List (HIL) derived from the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and the Pending Item List (PIL) for non-MEL defects, ensuring timely resolution and compliance.
- Occurrence Reporting: Report all mandatory and non-mandatory occurrences to the Type Certificate Holder and relevant certification authorities, including maintenance findings that fall outside standard schemes. Maintain transparency and accountability in all reporting activities.

Qualifications & Experience
Candidates should hold a relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification, complemented by extensive experience in aircraft maintenance, engineering, or a related field within the airline industry. Familiarity with Airbus aircraft systems and regulatory frameworks, such as EASA or FAA standards, is highly desirable. Prior experience in a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) or a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required to facilitate effective communication in a global environment.
