Analyst, Finance III

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analyst, Finance III to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in driving financial performance, optimizing inventory management, and providing strategic insights to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance, accounting, or a related field, coupled with extensive experience in plant financial management and inventory systems. Key Responsibilities

• Financial Performance Analysis: Evaluate revenue streams, inventory costs, production expenses, and business trends to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements. Develop actionable recommendations to enhance financial performance and support strategic initiatives.
• Financial and Operational Modeling: Design and maintain sophisticated financial models to facilitate valuation, forecasting, budgeting, and business performance management. Utilize these models to support capital budgeting, expenditure planning, and working capital optimization initiatives.
• Cost Accounting and Inventory Management: Apply advanced cost accounting principles, including full absorption and standard costing methodologies. Analyze inventory costing, variance analysis, and landed cost management concepts to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to Maaden policies and maintain compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal control requirements. Prepare and present financial reports, variance analyses, and business insights to management and executive teams.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams in Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to gather data, resolve discrepancies, and align financial strategies with business objectives. Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration to drive informed decision-making.
• Data Reconciliation and Record-Keeping: Reconcile revenue, inventory, and financial transactions by cross-referencing operational and accounting data. Maintain meticulous records, digital documentation, and filing systems to support financial and operational data administration.
• Issue Identification and Resolution: Proactively identify, analyze, and address abnormal transactions, variances, and reporting issues. Implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure the integrity of financial data.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following educational and professional requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as CIMA, CMA, CA, or an MBA are highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of relevant experience in plant financial management, inventory management, or related fields. Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, cost accounting, and inventory systems is essential.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Advanced knowledge of inventory costing, variance analysis, and landed cost management concepts.
  • Expertise in full absorption and standard costing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling techniques and strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • High level of fluency with Excel formulas and advanced spreadsheet functionalities.
• Soft Skills: Strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records are critical.
