Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Quality Control Engineer with a strong background in material inspection and quality assurance to ensure the highest standards of construction materials are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in infrastructure development, with a focus on highways, bridges, and transportation projects. You will play a pivotal role in upholding our reputation for excellence by verifying material compliance, coordinating laboratory testing, and managing quality documentation in alignment with international standards and project specifications.

Key Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in quality control and materials inspection for major infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, or transportation systems.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials such as asphalt, concrete, aggregates, soil, structural steel, and pavement materials.
• Proven expertise in laboratory testing procedures, material approval processes, and compliance verification methodologies.
• Familiarity with international standards including ASTM, AASHTO, BS, EN, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in managing material inspection requests, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and quality documentation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review technical specifications, test reports, and supplier certifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Prior experience working on projects in the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia, is highly advantageous.

Core Responsibilities

As a QC Engineer (Material), your primary responsibilities will include:

• Implementing and overseeing material quality control activities in strict accordance with project quality plans, specifications, and international standards.
• Reviewing and approving material submittals, technical data sheets, certificates, and supplier documentation to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Conducting thorough inspections of incoming materials to verify compliance with approved project specifications and contractual obligations.
• Coordinating laboratory testing activities for soils, aggregates, asphalt, concrete, steel, and other critical construction materials.
• Evaluating test results to confirm adherence to applicable standards such as ASTM, AASHTO, BS, and project-specific requirements.
• Monitoring material sampling, testing, and inspection procedures across all phases of the project to maintain consistent quality standards.
• Preparing detailed material inspection reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow-up documentation for corrective actions.
• Collaborating with consultants, subcontractors, laboratories, and suppliers to address quality-related concerns and ensure seamless project execution.
• Maintaining comprehensive quality records, test reports, approvals, and documentation in compliance with project requirements.
• Supporting quality audits and actively participating in initiatives aimed at continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Ensuring all construction materials meet approved quality standards prior to installation, thereby safeguarding the integrity and durability of the project.
