Fund Accounting and Fund Reporting Manager (Min. 5 years experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fund Accounting and Fund Reporting Manager to join our esteemed team at State Street in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the accounting and financial reporting processes for our diverse portfolio of funds, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial statements. Key Responsibilities

• Fund Accounting Oversight: Lead and manage the fund accounting function, including the preparation, review, and consolidation of financial statements for various funds in accordance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Financial Reporting: Develop and maintain robust financial reporting frameworks to provide accurate and insightful financial information to stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and senior management.
• Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure adherence to local and international accounting standards, such as IFRS and GAAP, while coordinating with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes and address any findings or recommendations.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance on complex accounting issues and support professional development within the team.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in fund accounting and reporting processes through the implementation of best practices, automation, and technological advancements.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including investment management, operations, and legal departments, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of financial goals with business objectives.
• Risk Management: Monitor and mitigate financial risks associated with fund operations, including liquidity, valuation, and counterparty risks, while ensuring compliance with risk management frameworks.
• Strategic Contribution: Contribute to the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at improving financial performance, operational efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive experience in fund accounting and financial reporting, with at least two years in a managerial or supervisory role. Experience in the asset management or financial services industry is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools. Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams, delegate responsibilities, and drive performance.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in fund accounting and financial reporting.
