Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Engineer (Civil Construction) to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Cost Optimization: Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality, ensuring projects remain within budget while meeting technical specifications.
• Contract Administration: Oversee the drafting, review, and execution of procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, safety, and environmental regulations. Monitor contract performance and resolve any disputes or discrepancies promptly.
• Risk Management: Assess procurement-related risks, including supply chain disruptions, market fluctuations, and regulatory changes, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts on project timelines and budgets.
• Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control teams to ensure procured materials and equipment meet project specifications and industry standards. Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between internal teams, such as engineering, project management, and finance, as well as external partners, including suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to facilitate seamless communication and alignment.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present detailed procurement reports, including spend analysis, supplier performance evaluations, and project progress updates, to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification in procurement, supply chain management, or project management is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in procurement within the civil construction industry, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role. Experience with large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools. Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, contract law, and industry standards.
• Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar credentials are advantageous.
