Key Responsibilities

The Senior Director - Logistics will be responsible for developing and implementing end-to-end logistics strategies tailored to the unique demands of large-scale construction programs. Your role will encompass the following critical functions:

• Strategic Logistics Planning: Design and oversee the execution of comprehensive logistics plans that align with the project’s timeline, budget, and operational requirements, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
• Supply Chain and Materials Management: Lead the procurement, transportation, and warehousing of materials, equipment, and resources, optimizing inventory levels and reducing lead times to support uninterrupted construction progress.
• Heavy Transportation and Site Logistics: Develop and implement robust processes for the movement of oversized, overweight, and specialized cargo, including coordination with regulatory authorities, route planning, and on-site logistics execution.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination: Collaborate closely with developers, project management consultants (PMC), contractors, and government entities to align logistics operations with project milestones, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder expectations.
• Team Leadership and Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Build and lead a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence while working seamlessly with cross-functional departments such as engineering, procurement, and construction.
• Risk Management and Contingency Planning: Identify potential logistical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure business continuity through proactive planning and real-time problem-solving.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and professional attributes:

• Extensive Industry Experience: A minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in construction logistics, supply chain management, and site logistics, with a proven track record of delivering mega and giga-scale projects, particularly within the GCC region.
• Regional Expertise: Demonstrated success in managing logistics operations for large-scale developments in Saudi Arabia, with a deep understanding of local regulations, infrastructure, and market dynamics.
• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related discipline) from a recognized institution, complemented by advanced certifications or training in logistics, supply chain, or project management.
• Leadership and Strategic Acumen: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, engage with executive stakeholders, and drive strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and project outcomes.
• Problem-Solving and Innovation: A results-driven mindset with a track record of developing creative solutions to complex logistical challenges, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
