Key Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial processes and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial data. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare, review, and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Month-End and Year-End Closing: Lead and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and compliant financial reporting while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
• Account Reconciliation: Oversee the reconciliation of key accounts, including bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and accruals, to maintain financial accuracy and mitigate discrepancies.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, monitor, and analyze budgets and financial forecasts, providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements, minimizing risks and ensuring audit readiness.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors, provide necessary documentation, and facilitate smooth audit processes to validate financial records and enhance transparency.
• ERP and System Management: Utilize advanced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to streamline financial operations, enhance data integrity, and improve reporting efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience, with at least two years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of IFRS and hands-on experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Analytical and Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex financial models, pivot tables, and macros. Familiarity with financial software and data visualization tools is a plus.
• Professional Certifications: Possession of recognized certifications such as SOCPA (Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants), ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards are essential.
