Investment Partnership & Development Director

Position Overview

As the Investment Partnership & Development Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing JTC’s strategic growth agenda by identifying, structuring, and commercializing high-impact investment opportunities, partnerships, and Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). This leadership position is responsible for driving market expansion, forging strategic alliances, and ensuring the successful execution of complex deals across the entire lifecycle of opportunities. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders across government, semi-government, and private sectors to deliver sustainable financial and strategic value while maintaining robust governance and risk management standards.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic and high-impact role, your responsibilities will encompass the following core areas:

• Strategic Business Development Leadership:
  • Define, refine, and execute a comprehensive Business Development (BD) strategy aligned with JTC’s corporate objectives and portfolio goals.
  • Orchestrate the origination, evaluation, and prioritization of strategic business, investment, and PPP opportunities to drive long-term growth.
  • Develop and maintain a robust BD and investment pipeline, ensuring alignment with market dynamics and organizational capabilities.
• Market Intelligence & Strategic Positioning:
  • Conduct in-depth market, sector, and competitive analysis to inform growth initiatives and enhance JTC’s strategic positioning.
  • Identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities to proactively shape the organization’s future direction.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Development:
  • Build and nurture high-level relationships with government, semi-government, and private sector stakeholders to facilitate complex partnerships and PPPs.
  • Lead senior-level engagement efforts to align diverse stakeholders and secure buy-in for strategic initiatives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and cultivate long-term strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and alliances to expand JTC’s market reach and capabilities.
• Deal Structuring, Negotiation & Execution:
  • Provide leadership in structuring, negotiating, and closing PPPs, joint ventures, and major commercial agreements.
  • Develop and approve business models, revenue structures, pricing strategies, and value capture mechanisms to ensure commercial viability.
  • Oversee the creation of contractual frameworks that are bankable, commercially sound, and aligned with risk allocation and governance requirements.
• Performance Monitoring & Value Realization:
  • Ensure partnerships and investments deliver targeted financial and strategic outcomes by translating agreements into operational, financial, and performance metrics.
  • Monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and revenue commitments, implementing corrective actions where performance gaps arise.
  • Provide strategic oversight on financial modeling, investment analysis, and commercial due diligence to support informed decision-making.
• Risk Management & Governance:
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial, financial, and strategic risks associated with BD initiatives and partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory frameworks, and corporate governance standards throughout all initiatives.
  • Support investment and approval committees by providing commercial insights, recommendations, and strategic updates.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership:
  • Foster collaboration across planning, technical, operations, finance, and legal teams to streamline deal execution and value realization.
  • Mentor and develop the BD team, establishing best practices, tools, and frameworks to enhance partnership capabilities.
  • Oversee the development of executive-level reports, dashboards, and performance insights to inform senior management decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a proven track record in business development, investment origination, and partnership management, preferably within infrastructure, PPPs, or related sectors. A strategic mindset, strong commercial acumen, and exceptional negotiation skills are essential. You will have experience leading cross-functional teams, managing complex stakeholder relationships, and delivering measurable financial and strategic outcomes. A deep understanding of financial modeling, risk assessment, and corporate governance will further strengthen your candidacy.
