Key Responsibilities

As an Application Support Engineer, your core responsibilities will include:

• System Monitoring and Availability: Proactively monitor application performance, system health, and service availability during your assigned shifts, identifying and resolving issues before they escalate.
• Incident Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve basic technical problems by analyzing incidents, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. Escalate complex issues to senior development or infrastructure teams when necessary.
• Log and Alert Management: Monitor system logs, alerts, and scheduled jobs to detect anomalies, performance bottlenecks, or potential failures, ensuring proactive issue resolution.
• Software Deployment and Testing: Assist in the deployment of software updates, patches, and new releases, as well as participate in testing and validation activities to ensure smooth transitions to production environments.
• Database and System Validation: Execute basic database queries and system validations to verify data integrity, application functionality, and compliance with operational standards.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of incidents, troubleshooting steps, support activities, and resolutions in designated tracking systems to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference.
• Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, infrastructure, and business stakeholders, to enhance system reliability, optimize performance, and improve customer satisfaction. Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Experience Level: Fresh graduate or up to one year of relevant experience in IT support, application support, or a similar technical role.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of application support principles, operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), and networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls). Familiarity with SQL and database management is a plus.
