Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. In this role, you will serve as the face of our brand, delivering an exceptional shopping experience while driving sales and fostering customer loyalty. Your responsibilities will encompass a blend of customer service, operational excellence, and merchandise management, all aligned with the company’s high standards of professionalism and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service Excellence:
  • Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance in product selection to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Transform browsing customers into satisfied buyers through consultative selling techniques and persuasive communication.
  • Promote the company’s Club Apparel Loyalty Program to encourage repeat business and customer retention.
  • Adhere to the company’s selling framework (GUEST – Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank) to ensure consistency in customer interactions.
  • Stay informed about the latest offerings from all brands within the company to facilitate suggestive selling and upselling opportunities.
• Professionalism and Product Knowledge:
  • Maintain a polished and professional appearance at all times, reflecting the brand’s image and standards.
  • Possess in-depth product knowledge to address customer inquiries accurately and confidently.
  • Demonstrate adaptability by working extended hours during peak sales periods, including holidays and promotional events.
  • Ensure minimal stock loss through vigilance and adherence to inventory control policies.
• Merchandise Management:
  • Organize and display merchandise in accordance with visual merchandising (VM) guidelines and standard layout norms to attract and engage customers.
  • Monitor and maintain stock norms, particularly for clearance items, to optimize sales and inventory turnover.
  • Accurately record inventory movements, including inward and outward stock, and maintain detailed reports for management review.
• Point of Sale (POS) Operations:
  • Operate the POS system efficiently to process transactions, issue receipts, and manage refunds or exchanges with precision.
  • Handle payments via multiple methods, including cash, credit cards, vouchers, and automatic debits, ensuring accuracy and security.
  • Perform cash till reconciliations at the beginning and end of each shift to maintain financial integrity.
  • Uphold strict security protocols to prevent theft, fraud, or unauthorized access to store assets and sensitive information.
• Operational Flexibility and Compliance:
  • Demonstrate flexibility in work schedules, including varied shifts and overtime, to meet business demands during peak periods.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Loss Prevention Policies to mitigate risks and ensure a safe, compliant retail environment.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sales figures, operational strategies, and other proprietary information.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess a strong customer service orientation, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Prior retail experience is advantageous, though not mandatory, as full training will be provided.
