Position Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Lifeguard to ensure the safety and well-being of guests at our premier recreational facility located on the stunning Ummahat Island 1 in the Red Sea, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to maintaining a secure, enjoyable, and well-regulated environment for all visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing swimming areas, enforcing safety protocols, and providing immediate assistance in emergency situations while fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety and Rescue Operations: Utilize appropriate rescue techniques to assist swimmers in distress. Continuously monitor the swimming area for hazardous conditions, unsafe activities, or individuals struggling in the water. Respond promptly to emergencies, including providing first aid and CPR until professional medical services arrive.
• Guest Relations and Service: Promote and enforce facility rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment for all guests. Greet and acknowledge guests in accordance with company standards, ensuring a professional and courteous demeanor. Assist individuals with disabilities and address their needs with sensitivity and care. Maintain a clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing pool deck, including washing, mopping, and stacking towels as per established procedures.
• Facility Maintenance and Compliance: Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management immediately. Participate in mandatory safety training and certifications to uphold the highest standards of emergency preparedness. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality assurance expectations while maintaining the confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.
• Physical Demands and Work Environment: Perform job duties that require standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, including responding to emergencies with agility. Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance. Navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as stairs, ladders, and service ramps. Demonstrate fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for tasks such as inspecting equipment and performing rescue operations.
• Team Collaboration and Professionalism: Support colleagues with dignity and respect, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members. Anticipate and address service needs proactively, ensuring guests leave with a positive and memorable experience.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory. Additional certifications or training required by local and state agencies must be obtained and maintained.
• Experience: While prior related work experience is not required, candidates with a background in lifeguarding, aquatic safety, or customer service will be highly regarded.
• Personal Attributes: A strong sense of responsibility, exceptional situational awareness, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, physical stamina, and a commitment to upholding safety standards.
