Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms. Your core duties will include:

• Application Development: Design and build scalable, high-performance mobile applications using modern frameworks such as Swift for iOS and Kotlin or Java for Android. Ensure seamless integration with backend systems and third-party APIs to deliver robust functionality.
• UI/UX Implementation: Translate wireframes and design mockups into intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces. Collaborate closely with our design team to ensure a cohesive and user-centric experience across all platforms.
• Code Optimization and Maintenance: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to industry best practices and coding standards. Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities. Provide ongoing support and updates to ensure the long-term stability of applications.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively within a remote team environment, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews. Maintain clear and consistent communication with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
• Innovation and Problem-Solving: Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in mobile technology. Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance application performance, scalability, and user engagement.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and technical competencies:

• Technical Proficiency: Profound expertise in iOS development using Swift and Android development using Kotlin or Java. Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter is a plus.
• Development Tools: Hands-on experience with integrated development environments (IDEs) such as Xcode and Android Studio. Proficient in version control systems like Git and familiar with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Backend Integration: Experience in integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or other backend services. Knowledge of database systems, including SQLite, Core Data, or Realm, is advantageous.
• Problem-Solving Aptitude: Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges to ensure smooth project execution.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to work independently as well as part of a remote team, demonstrating strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Portfolio and Experience: A demonstrated portfolio of mobile applications developed and deployed on the App Store and Google Play Store. Prior freelance or contract experience is highly desirable.
