Key Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Engineer II will play a critical role in driving efficiency and innovation across our manufacturing operations. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Process Optimization: Analyze and refine existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Implement lean manufacturing principles and methodologies to streamline operations.
• Technical Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex manufacturing challenges. Provide expert guidance on process improvements, equipment upgrades, and automation initiatives.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement robust quality control measures to minimize defects and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Equipment and Tooling: Oversee the selection, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and tooling. Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and reliability of machinery.
• Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for innovation, cost reduction, and sustainability. Utilize data-driven approaches to drive decision-making and process enhancements.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Promote a safety-first culture and implement best practices to mitigate risks and prevent workplace incidents.
• Project Management: Lead and execute manufacturing projects from conception to completion. Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver results that align with organizational goals.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP) are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, or a related discipline. Experience in the industrial or automotive sector is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of CAD software, manufacturing simulation tools, and ERP systems. Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies is essential.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Proficiency in statistical analysis and root cause analysis techniques.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Leadership and Project Management: Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage teams, and drive results in a dynamic environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
