In this pivotal role, you will serve as the technical backbone of our sales process, transforming customer requirements into compelling, high-quality technical and commercial proposals. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving winning strategies, ensuring Valmet remains a preferred partner for customers across diverse industries.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead Technical Proposal Development: Take ownership of the technical preparation of project quotations, including the precise sizing, selection, and costing of control valves and field equipment to meet customer specifications and industry standards.
• Collaborate with Sales Teams: Act as a trusted technical advisor to sales professionals, supporting bid strategy formulation, clarifying customer requirements, and recommending optimal solutions that align with both technical feasibility and commercial objectives.
• Bridge Technical and Commercial Domains: Contribute to pricing discussions, ensure commercial alignment, and develop value-based proposals that highlight the long-term benefits of Valmet’s solutions.
• Ensure Proposal Excellence: Maintain the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness in all quotations and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with internal processes and customer expectations.
• Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with global teams, project managers, and internal stakeholders to gather insights, resolve technical challenges, and deliver cohesive proposals.
• Engage with Customers: Participate in bid clarifications, technical discussions, and negotiations to address customer inquiries, demonstrate expertise, and build trust in Valmet’s capabilities.

What We Look For

To excel in this role, you will bring a combination of technical expertise, industry knowledge, and a customer-centric mindset. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related process discipline.
• A minimum of six years of hands-on experience in the valve industry, with a proven track record in control valve sizing and selection.
• In-depth familiarity with Middle East projects, particularly with requirements from key industry leaders such as Saudi Aramco and SABIC.
• A strong understanding of process industries, including Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper, or Mining, with a focus on flow control solutions.
• Knowledge of instrumentation systems, including valves, field instruments, installation, and field engineering, is highly advantageous.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in Arabic is considered a valuable asset.
• A willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time to support customer engagements and internal collaboration.
• A systematic and assertive approach to managing complex situations under pressure, coupled with a collaborative and open-minded attitude toward knowledge sharing.
