Network Administrator

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, performance, and security of both customer-facing and internal network systems. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity, robust infrastructure, and efficient technical support for our organization. Key Responsibilities

• Network Monitoring and Maintenance: Proactively monitor network resources to identify potential issues, perform routine preventative maintenance, and ensure optimal system performance. Implement and enforce network policies to uphold security and reliability standards.
• Configuration Management: Regularly back up network configurations and rigorously test restore processes to safeguard against data loss. Maintain up-to-date documentation of network topologies, configurations, and changes to support audit and compliance requirements.
• Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide timely and effective IT support to resolve issues related to internal systems and network infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and address technical challenges, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
• Documentation and Compliance: Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive documentation of network standards, procedures, and best practices. Ensure adherence to industry regulations and organizational policies to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with IT leadership and stakeholders to align network strategies with business objectives. Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences, fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of two years in a network administration or similar technical role is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs. Experience with network monitoring tools, backup solutions, and troubleshooting methodologies is essential.
• Organizational and Time Management: Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving are critical.
• Customer Service Excellence: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. Ability to build rapport with team members and stakeholders while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Certifications and Continuous Learning: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are advantageous. A passion for staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends is highly valued.
