Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Field Operator - Coiled Tubing will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical tasks associated with coiled tubing operations, including:

• Operation and Maintenance: Safely operate and maintain coiled tubing units, including surface equipment, downhole tools, and ancillary systems, to ensure seamless execution of well interventions.
• Job Execution: Assist in planning, preparing, and executing coiled tubing jobs, including well cleanouts, acidizing, fracturing, and other intervention services, in alignment with client requirements and operational objectives.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to Baker Hughes’ safety protocols, industry regulations, and environmental standards to mitigate risks and ensure a zero-incident work environment.
• Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- and post-job inspections of coiled tubing equipment, identifying any defects or maintenance needs, and reporting them to the appropriate teams for resolution.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and field crews to coordinate activities, troubleshoot issues, and optimize job performance for maximum efficiency and reliability.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of operations, equipment performance, and job parameters, ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve operational challenges in real-time, leveraging technical expertise to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred. Alternatively, relevant vocational training or certifications in coiled tubing operations will be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in coiled tubing operations, with a proven track record in field execution, equipment handling, and safety compliance. Prior exposure to oilfield services or well intervention operations is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating coiled tubing units, surface equipment, and downhole tools. Familiarity with well intervention techniques, pressure control systems, and data acquisition tools is essential.
• Safety Certifications: Valid certifications in HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment), such as IADC WellSharp or similar, are required. Additional certifications in coiled tubing operations or well control are advantageous.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in demanding field conditions, including extreme temperatures, remote locations, and physically demanding tasks. Must be capable of lifting heavy equipment, standing for extended periods, and operating machinery safely.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
