Key Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization by executing a wide range of accounting functions. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Financial Transaction Management: Record, classify, and verify financial transactions, including income, expenses, and liabilities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), internal policies, and regulatory requirements while preparing and maintaining precise financial records.
• General Ledger Oversight: Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and postings, to maintain a clear and accurate financial trail.
• Bank and Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, and financial records to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Develop and present key financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide stakeholders with actionable insights.
• Tax Compliance and Filing: Prepare, review, and file tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, minimizing tax liabilities while ensuring full adherence to legal requirements.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing comprehensive documentation, explanations, and justifications for financial transactions and records.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with leadership to develop, monitor, and analyze budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Financial Analysis and Insights: Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and process improvements. Present actionable recommendations to support data-driven decision-making.
• Risk Management: Monitor compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations to mitigate risks and safeguard organizational assets.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Certification: CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, with a proven track record in financial reporting, compliance, and analysis.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel, including proficiency in pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and meticulous attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are essential.
