Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Project Manager at HPE, your core responsibilities will include:

• Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with HPE’s quality standards.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership. Facilitate clear communication, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts to ensure project success.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to engineering teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, industry standards, and HPE’s technical frameworks. Collaborate with architects and developers to define project requirements and solutions.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and dependencies early in the project lifecycle. Develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project continuity.
• Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality control processes to validate deliverables, ensuring they meet functional and performance requirements. Conduct regular reviews and audits to maintain high standards.
• Budget and Resource Management: Monitor project expenditures, resource utilization, and vendor contracts. Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Change Management: Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new technologies or processes. Provide training and support to end-users as needed.
• Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including status reports, progress updates, and post-project reviews. Present findings to stakeholders and leadership in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a technical project management role. Prior experience in the IT, telecommunications, or enterprise solutions sector is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and enterprise architectures. Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Trello) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is essential.
• Leadership and Communication: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
