Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for villas and residential units, ensuring adherence to international accounting standards (IFRS) and local regulations. Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, and financial transactions to support audit processes and regulatory inspections.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with senior management to develop and monitor budgets for residential operations, including revenue projections, cost control measures, and capital expenditure planning. Analyze financial performance against budgets and provide actionable insights to optimize profitability and operational efficiency.
• Revenue and Expense Management: Oversee the billing and collection processes for residential units, ensuring timely invoicing and reconciliation of payments. Monitor expense accruals, vendor invoices, and payroll-related transactions to maintain financial integrity and minimize discrepancies.
• Internal Controls and Audit Support: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the resort’s financial assets. Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, responding to inquiries, and addressing audit findings in a timely manner.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with property management, housekeeping, concierge, and other departments to align financial processes with operational activities. Provide financial guidance and support to ensure that residential operations are both cost-effective and aligned with the resort’s luxury standards.
• Technology and Systems Management: Utilize advanced accounting software and property management systems to streamline financial operations. Stay updated on technological advancements in financial management to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reporting.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess a strong academic background in accounting, finance, or a related field, complemented by professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA. A minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality or real estate sector, is essential. Proficiency in ERP systems, advanced Excel skills, and a keen eye for detail are critical for success. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate exceptional analytical abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
