Engineering Supervisor

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Supervisor to join our team at a prestigious luxury property in An Nu'aylah, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and preventative care of tools, appliances, and equipment, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining the property’s infrastructure while fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

As the Engineering Supervisor, your core duties will include:

• Technical Maintenance & Operations: Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment. Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, and other critical components to ensure optimal performance. Identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves as needed to mitigate risks and ensure safety.
• Inventory & Procurement: Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies to maintain operational readiness. Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate logs for purchase orders to support timely procurement and cost efficiency.
• Safety & Compliance: Conduct comprehensive inspections of tools, equipment, and machinery to ensure compliance with safety standards. Complete life safety checklists, including fire-pump run tests and generator run tests. Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems to uphold the highest safety protocols.
• Disaster Preparedness: Collaborate with management to develop and refine disaster response protocols, ensuring the property is prepared to handle emergencies with precision and care.
• Guest & Team Leadership: Assist in the hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluation of engineering staff. Provide ongoing coaching, motivation, and discipline to foster a high-performing team. Develop and maintain positive working relationships to support common goals and address team concerns effectively.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards while identifying opportunities to enhance organizational efficiency, productivity, and cost savings. Implement innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement across all engineering operations.
• Guest Service & Communication: Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs with professionalism. Assist individuals with disabilities and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and operational success.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

The Engineering Supervisor role requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. You must be capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. The position involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, as well as navigating stairs and service ramps. A commitment to maintaining a clean and professional appearance, along with adherence to company safety and security policies, is essential.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Education: A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is required.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of related work experience in engineering or facilities management is necessary. Additionally, at least 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred to ensure effective team leadership and operational oversight.
• Certifications: While no specific licenses or certifications are required, a commitment to ongoing professional development and safety training is highly valued.
