Lead Systems Engineer (MS Exchange, Azure, Intune)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Systems Engineer to join our dynamic IT team as a hands-on technical leader. This role is designed for an individual contributor who will take ownership of managing and supporting our enterprise IT infrastructure and critical business applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and high availability of our systems through proactive administration, troubleshooting, and recovery operations. This is not a people management or architecture role; instead, it focuses on executing technical excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Lead Systems Engineer will play a pivotal role in maintaining the operational integrity of our IT environment. Core responsibilities include:

• System Administration: Manage and administer Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft Intune, and/or Jamf Pro to ensure seamless functionality and user productivity.
• Identity and Access Management: Oversee user lifecycle management, identity governance, access provisioning, and endpoint administration to maintain robust security and compliance standards.
• Backup and Recovery: Monitor backup operations vigilantly and execute system and mailbox recovery procedures as needed to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Enterprise Application Support: Provide expert-level support for critical business applications, including HRM, ERP, CRM, and Office Automation platforms, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business needs.
• Troubleshooting and Resolution: Diagnose infrastructure and application issues with precision, conduct thorough root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Change Management: Execute approved system changes with meticulous planning and documentation to maintain operational transparency and compliance.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and operational continuity.

Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Experience: 5–9 years of progressive experience in System Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or IT Operations, with a proven track record in enterprise environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft Intune, and/or Jamf Pro, with a deep understanding of their configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Experience in designing, implementing, and managing backup and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical data and systems.
• Business Applications: Familiarity with enterprise business applications such as HRM, ERP, CRM, or similar platforms, including their administration and support.
• Troubleshooting Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
• Communication: Professional proficiency in English, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
