Fixed Assets Accountant

Position Overview

Integrated Solutions Tawantech is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fixed Assets Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing, tracking, and ensuring the accurate accounting of the company’s fixed assets portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with international accounting standards, including IFRS and local regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Asset Management: Maintain comprehensive records of all fixed assets, including acquisition, depreciation, impairment, and disposal, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Depreciation Calculations: Accurately compute and record depreciation expenses using appropriate methods (e.g., straight-line, declining balance) and ensure proper allocation across financial periods.
• Compliance and Reporting: Prepare and submit periodic financial reports, including fixed assets schedules, to support internal audits and external financial statements. Ensure adherence to IFRS, GAAP, and local accounting standards.
• Asset Verification: Conduct regular physical verifications and reconciliations of fixed assets to identify discrepancies, reconcile system records with physical assets, and resolve any variances promptly.
• Capitalization and Disposal: Oversee the capitalization of new assets, including proper documentation, approvals, and integration into the fixed assets register. Manage the disposal process, including write-offs, sales, or transfers, in compliance with accounting policies.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline fixed assets accounting processes, implement best practices, and leverage technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy in asset tracking and reporting.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of asset-related transactions, including acquisitions, transfers, and retirements.
• Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and facilitating smooth audit execution.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in fixed assets accounting, preferably within a corporate or multinational environment. Experience in the construction, engineering, or technology sectors is a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly in creating complex financial models and reports.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve asset management and financial reporting.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Arabic language proficiency is a valuable asset.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and precision in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
