Engineer II, Production Operations

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineer II, Production Operations to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing and optimizing the daily production operations of our asphalt plants, crushers, and related facilities. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring seamless workflow, adherence to production targets, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. Key Responsibilities

The Engineer II, Production Operations will be responsible for the following core duties and responsibilities:

• Production Operations Support & Coordination:
  • Execute daily operations of asphalt, crusher, and concrete plants in alignment with approved production plans and schedules.
  • Monitor plant performance, material consumption, and production data through routine checks to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Coordinate production schedules with the Production Manager and Mining Engineer to ensure seamless workflow and optimal material availability.
  • Assist in coordinating maintenance activities during breakdowns and planned shutdowns to minimize downtime and maximize operational uptime.
  • Support product quality by adhering to process parameters and collaborating closely with the quality assurance team.
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily and shift production reports using real-time production data to track performance and identify trends.
  • Provide on-the-ground support to plant operators and helpers during shift operations to maintain uninterrupted workflow and address operational challenges promptly.
• Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure strict adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and industry regulations to maintain compliance and uphold operational integrity.
  • Implement and enforce safety and security protocols to safeguard the well-being of all employees and protect company assets.
• Additional Duties:
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned to support the team and contribute to the achievement of broader business objectives.

The Engineer II, Production Operations will collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational success:

• Internal: Manager, Production; Production Team; Site Team; HSE Team; Logistics Team.
• External: Equipment Suppliers; Regulatory Authorities; Service Providers.

Qualifications & Competencies

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the required skills:

• Academic Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of hands-on experience in asphalt plant, concrete, or crusher production operations.
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Communication: Intermediate – Ability to convey technical information clearly and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Technical Expertise: Intermediate – Proficiency in production operations, equipment maintenance, and process optimization.
  • Safety Awareness: Intermediate – Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to HSE standards.
  • Planning & Organizing: Intermediate – Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet production deadlines.
  • Time Management: Intermediate – Efficiently manage time to ensure timely completion of operational tasks and reporting.
  • Problem Solving: Intermediate – Capable of identifying issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing effective solutions to minimize disruptions.
