Senior Technician - Maintenance

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technician - Maintenance to join our dynamic team across multiple locations, including Riyadh, Tabuk, Abha, Yanbu, and Medina. This pivotal role is responsible for executing advanced-level maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting activities for a diverse range of attraction rides and devices. The Senior Technician will lead maintenance operations in collaboration with the attraction technicians, ensuring seamless functionality, safety, and operational readiness of all rides and attractions.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Technician will play a critical role in the following areas:

• Technical Leadership and Execution: Lead and execute technical maintenance activities for rides and attractions, working closely with the technician team and technical management to ensure compliance with international safety standards and KSA regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration and Communication: Actively engage with Operations, Project Attraction Teams, and Project Management Consultants to support installation processes and maintain clear communication with ride manufacturers' representatives on-site.
• Maintenance and Documentation: Implement, execute, and document maintenance activities in alignment with SEVEN’s technical requirements, Health & Safety (H&S) policies, and operational procedures. Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical manuals, troubleshooting guides, evacuation procedures, PM checklists, REHAB programs, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) schedules.
• Asset Management and Inventory Control: Support the implementation and effective use of asset management systems. Monitor spare parts and consumable stock requirements, providing proactive feedback to ensure availability and minimize downtime.
• Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance ride performance, maintenance efficiency, and operational effectiveness. Assist in achieving departmental objectives, action plans, and KPIs aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to international safety best practices and KSA regulatory requirements. Conduct inspections of tools and equipment to verify compliance with calibration and safety standards. Lead and execute major annual maintenance and rehabilitation activities to maintain optimal ride performance.
• Training and Development: Deliver training sessions and maintain training records in accordance with Learning & Development requirements. Support annual certification and recertification processes conducted by Independent Bodies (IB).
• Operational Readiness: Verify the quality and accuracy of technicians' work, particularly on safety-critical inspections and repairs. Assist in ensuring adequate resources, materials, tools, equipment, and manpower are available to perform maintenance activities efficiently.
• Guest Experience and Cultural Awareness: Promote excellence in guest experience while maintaining the highest safety standards. Demonstrate cultural awareness and lead by example to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: An Engineering Certificate or Diploma in a relevant technical field, such as Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of attraction rides or similar mechanical and electrical systems. Prior leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation. Familiarity with asset management systems and maintenance software is a plus.
• Safety and Compliance: Strong understanding of international safety standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in maintenance operations. Experience with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and calibration processes is beneficial.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Arabic is advantageous but not mandatory.

Work Environment and Additional Responsibilities

The Senior Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, often requiring flexibility to support operational needs, including ride evacuations, emergency repairs, and major maintenance projects. The role may involve occasional travel between sites to ensure consistency in maintenance standards and support cross-functional teams. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned by Attraction Management as needed to support organizational objectives.
