Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Riyadh Region. This full-time, on-site position will focus on designing, reviewing, and optimizing electrical systems for cleanrooms, biosafety laboratories, and controlled environments, ensuring strict adherence to industry standards and accreditation requirements. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development of electrical infrastructure, from initial design and specification to installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Collaboration with mechanical and biosafety engineering teams will be essential to integrate electrical solutions seamlessly into comprehensive project designs.

Key Responsibilities

• System Design and Optimization: Develop and refine electrical drawings, specifications, and layouts for cleanrooms, laboratories, and controlled environments, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
• Power Distribution and Systems Design: Support the design and analysis of power distribution systems, including load calculations, integration with backup systems, and safety mechanisms to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
• Project Coordination: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical and biosafety engineers, to integrate electrical solutions into broader project designs and ensure seamless execution.
• Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical infrastructure and equipment, ensuring functionality, safety, and performance in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve electrical system issues, provide technical support for maintenance activities, and ensure the longevity and reliability of installed systems.
• Client and Vendor Collaboration: Engage with clients, vendors, and partners to address technical inquiries, provide solutions, and facilitate the procurement of electrical components and systems.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation, including reports, drawings, and manuals, to support project execution and compliance audits.
• Training and Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to training initiatives by providing technical guidance on electrical systems, safety protocols, and best practices to enhance client capabilities and ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years dedicated to the Technical Office of a contracting company.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) in a contracting environment, along with a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, power distribution, and power systems design.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical systems in cleanrooms, laboratories, and controlled environments, with a preference for experience in pharmaceutical, medical, or healthcare projects. Knowledge of building services, industrial facilities, or related environments is advantageous.
• Software and Tools: Proficiency in reading and developing engineering drawings, using design software, and preparing technical reports to support project deliverables.
• Compliance and Standards: In-depth knowledge of international electrical and safety standards, with an understanding of accreditation and regulatory requirements to ensure project compliance.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. The ability to operate on-site and coordinate with diverse stakeholders is essential.
