Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Turnaround Planning Engineer specializing in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in planning, coordinating, and executing turnaround projects for industrial facilities, ensuring minimal downtime, optimal safety, and adherence to stringent technical and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop comprehensive turnaround plans, schedules, and resource allocations for Electrical & Instrumentation systems, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budget constraints. Utilize advanced planning tools and methodologies to optimize workflows and mitigate risks.
• Technical Oversight: Provide expert technical guidance on Electrical & Instrumentation systems, including power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, and automation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential issues, propose innovative solutions, and ensure compliance with industry best practices and safety protocols.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards, operational disruptions, or compliance gaps. Develop and implement robust mitigation strategies to minimize downtime, enhance safety, and ensure uninterrupted facility operations.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between engineering teams, maintenance personnel, contractors, and senior management. Facilitate clear communication, resolve conflicts, and ensure seamless collaboration to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of project activities, including progress reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation. Prepare comprehensive post-turnaround reviews to evaluate project performance and identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all turnaround activities adhere to local, national, and international regulations, as well as company policies and industry standards. Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and incorporate them into planning and execution processes.
• Cost & Resource Management: Monitor project expenditures, resource utilization, and procurement activities to ensure cost-effective execution. Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings without compromising quality or safety.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess a strong academic background and hands-on experience in Electrical & Instrumentation engineering within the industrial or oil & gas sectors. The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CEng) are advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in turnaround planning, preferably within the E&I domain. Experience in large-scale industrial facilities, refineries, or power plants is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in industry-standard planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and familiarity with Electrical & Instrumentation design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in high-stakes environments.
• In-depth knowledge of safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and risk management principles in industrial settings.
