Contract Associate Analyst

Position Overview

As a Contract Associate Analyst at The Cigna Group, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of CHI (Centralized Health Information) uploads. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and a deep understanding of insurance policy administration and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for validating member information, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring seamless processing of policy updates, all while adhering to strict service level agreements (SLAs). Your contributions will directly impact the quality of service delivered to clients and the operational integrity of our health insurance systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Upload Validation: Verify policy and member mandatory information, including National ID, Iqama, Border Number, Passport Number, and Member IDs, to ensure accuracy and alignment with supporting documents before CHI uploads.
• Error Prevention and Resolution: Perform pre-upload validation for additions, deletions, transfers, and corrections to mitigate CHI rejections. Investigate mismatches between client census files, system records, and CHI requirements, and coordinate corrections to meet SLA timelines.
• Policy and Member Data Management: Confirm policy effective dates, enrollment dates, and renewal dates align with underwriting approval and policy setup. Process updates such as date of birth corrections, ID changes, relationship changes, and member transfers between groups.
• Tracking and Escalation: Monitor uploaded members until successfully accepted and linked in the CHI portal. Escalate unresolved cases promptly to ensure timely resolution and compliance.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all uploads meet regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards, including familiarity with CHI, IA, and Nphies regulations.
• Reporting and Continuous Improvement: Produce validation error reports, rejection analysis, SLA performance reports, and recommendations to reduce upload failures and enhance first-time-right quality. Review and action the validation mailbox within SLA to maintain operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in benefit setup or insurance policy administration within a health insurance company.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with benefit configuration tools and administrative platforms, as well as familiarity with medical coverages and CHI uploads.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of insurance regulatory requirements, including CHI, IA, and Nphies.
• Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and data entry systems.
