We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Maintenance-Helper to join our team and contribute to the seamless operation of our luxurious facilities. This role is essential for ensuring our property remains in pristine condition, allowing our guests to enjoy a stay that is both comfortable and memorable.

In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, functionality, and guest satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include addressing minor maintenance issues promptly, performing routine upkeep tasks, and collaborating with our team to uphold the exceptional quality that defines Le Méridien.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plumbing and Minor Repairs: Troubleshoot and resolve common plumbing issues such as unclogging drains and toilets, repairing leaks in sinks and faucets, and addressing minor water-related problems to ensure smooth operations.
• General Maintenance: Conduct routine repairs such as tightening toilet bolts, replacing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls to maintain the aesthetic and functional integrity of our property.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular upkeep of tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubricating, to extend their lifespan and ensure they are always ready for use.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies. Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries immediately. Complete required safety training and obtain necessary certifications to ensure a secure working environment.
• Professional Appearance and Conduct: Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times, including wearing the provided work uniform. Uphold confidentiality regarding sensitive information and protect company assets.
• Guest Relations: Provide exceptional service to guests by anticipating and addressing their needs. Assist guests with mobility challenges and ensure they feel welcomed and comfortable throughout their stay. Communicate clearly, courteously, and professionally in all interactions.
• Team Collaboration: Foster positive working relationships with colleagues. Actively listen to and address concerns from team members while maintaining a cooperative and supportive environment.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality, aligning with Le Méridien's commitment to excellence.
• Physical Demands: Perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, lifting, and maneuvering objects up to 23 kg independently. Assist in moving, lifting, and positioning heavier items, such as air conditioning units, televisions, and furniture, which may exceed 45.5 kg. Navigate stairs, service access points, and ladders as needed. Handle various tools, equipment, and materials with precision.
• Additional Duties: Execute any other tasks assigned by management that align with the role’s responsibilities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

While no prior experience is required, we are looking for individuals with:

• A high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow instructions clearly.
