IT Systems & Network Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Systems & Network Analyst to join our dynamic Information Technology team in Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This critical role is responsible for the seamless operation, security, and optimization of our organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, end-user computing devices, and enterprise business systems. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical expert, providing comprehensive support to users, maintaining robust IT systems, and ensuring the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability across all IT services.

Reporting directly to the IT Director, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in troubleshooting complex technical issues, implementing cutting-edge solutions, and contributing to strategic IT projects that drive business growth. This position requires a proactive problem-solver with deep technical expertise in systems administration, network management, and cybersecurity, combined with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Administration

• Infrastructure Management: Oversee and maintain Windows-based servers, cloud environments, and enterprise applications to ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability.
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance, capacity, and health to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact operations.
• System Maintenance: Execute system installations, upgrades, patches, and configuration changes to align with organizational needs and security standards.
• Identity & Access Management: Administer Active Directory, Group Policies, user accounts, permissions, and access controls to safeguard data integrity and compliance.
• Cloud Services Support: Provide expert support for cloud-based platforms, including Microsoft 365, Azure, or other enterprise solutions, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.

Network Administration

• Network Operations: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet connectivity to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
• Network Infrastructure: Configure, support, and optimize network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points to maintain high-performance connectivity.
• Security Enforcement: Implement and enforce network security policies, controls, and best practices to mitigate risks and protect against cyber threats.
• Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve network performance bottlenecks, connectivity issues, and hardware failures with minimal downtime.
• Documentation & Planning: Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and inventory records, and assist in planning and executing network upgrades and infrastructure projects.

IT Support & End-User Services

• Technical Assistance: Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to end users, addressing hardware, software, network, and application issues efficiently and professionally.
• Device Management: Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals to ensure optimal functionality and user productivity.
• Collaboration Tools: Support and troubleshoot meeting room technologies, video conferencing systems, and collaboration platforms to facilitate seamless communication and teamwork.
• Helpdesk Management: Manage IT service requests and incidents through the helpdesk system, ensuring timely resolution and user satisfaction.
• User Training: Deliver technical guidance, training, and best practices to end users to enhance their IT proficiency and reduce support demands.

Security & Compliance

• Cybersecurity Implementation: Deploy and maintain robust cybersecurity controls, including endpoint protection, patch management, and antivirus solutions, to safeguard organizational assets.
• Threat Monitoring: Proactively monitor security alerts, system logs, and vulnerability reports to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements through consistent enforcement and audits.
• Incident Response: Participate in security incident response activities, risk assessments, and disaster recovery planning to minimize operational impact.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Professional Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in system engineering, IT infrastructure management, or a systems analyst role.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms and hybrid IT solutions, including Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• In-depth understanding of network architecture, security frameworks, and infrastructure management principles.

Technical Competencies

• Operating Systems & Cloud: Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server and Office 365 environments, with hands-on experience in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Networking: Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching, with practical experience in configuring and optimizing network devices.
• Security: Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices, threat mitigation strategies, and infrastructure hardening techniques to protect against evolving cyber threats.
• Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues under pressure and within tight deadlines.
• Project Contribution: Experience in contributing to or leading technical IT projects from inception to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, candidates with the following qualifications will be given preference:

• Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or CompTIA Security+.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and process optimization.
