TECHNICAL ENGINEER

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Engineer to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

The Technical Engineer will play a critical role in the following areas:

• Machine Design and Installation: Develop and implement machine layouts, ensuring optimal footprint utilization and alignment with production requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and install new machinery or upgrade existing systems.
• Commissioning and Testing: Oversee the installation, testing, startup, and handover of line automation equipment. Ensure all systems meet performance standards and regulatory compliance before transitioning to operational teams.
• Process Optimization: Monitor and enhance preventive maintenance programs, strategic spare parts management, machine efficiency, waste reduction, product quality, and cost-effectiveness. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to drive operational excellence.
• Project Coordination: Lead machine projects focused on runnability enhancements, upgrades, and the integration of additional features. Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely handover to the Business Unit (BU) Process Engineer.
• Technology Advancement: Propose and implement machine upgrades to align with emerging technologies, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of innovation. Evaluate and validate Return on Investment (ROI) by analyzing actualized figures and performance metrics.
• Maintenance Support: Develop and provide guidelines to the maintenance department for preventive task implementation, spare part identification, critical part specification, and supplier validation. Ensure alignment with operational and safety standards.
• Technical Review and Decision-Making: Review technical specifications, tender documents, and sales offers. Prepare comparative analyses and decision matrices to support management in selecting optimal solutions for projects and procurements.
• Problem Resolution and Innovation: Diagnose recurring machine issues or breakdowns and propose effective technical solutions. Recommend new procedures, tools, and methodologies to enhance plant efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a technical engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong proficiency in machine design, automation systems, and process optimization.
• Experience with project management, commissioning, and testing of machinery.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in CAD software, PLC programming, and industrial automation tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, spare parts management, and cost-containment strategies.
