Key Responsibilities

The Facilities Engineer will play a critical role in overseeing and managing all aspects of facility operations. Your core responsibilities will include:

• System Maintenance and Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other essential building infrastructure. Ensure all systems are functioning optimally to support business operations.
• Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of critical assets. Lead corrective maintenance activities to address issues promptly and restore system functionality.
• Facility Inspections and Compliance: Conduct regular, systematic inspections of facility systems and infrastructure to identify potential risks, inefficiencies, or non-compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Ensure all operations meet local and international standards.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate maintenance, repair, and improvement projects. Foster strong collaborative relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of initiatives.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and analyze facility performance metrics, maintenance activities, and service reports. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management to support data-driven decision-making.
• Budget and Procurement Support: Assist in the development and management of facility-related budgets, including procurement of materials, equipment, and services. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, reduce maintenance costs, and implement sustainable facility improvements. Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional Experience: Proven experience in facilities management, maintenance engineering, or a similar role, with a strong track record of successfully managing complex facility systems.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure, plumbing, fire protection systems, and general building maintenance. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and facility management software is highly desirable.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to diagnose technical issues, develop effective solutions, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
• Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with contractors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams. Proficiency in both written and verbal English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
• Regulatory Knowledge: A thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations, including OSHA, NFPA, and local compliance standards. Commitment to maintaining a safe and sustainable work environment.
