Key Responsibilities

In this hands-on and leadership-focused role, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical installation, commissioning, and maintenance of steel structures and related equipment across multiple high-profile projects in the region. Your duties will include:

• Technical Leadership and Guidance: Provide expert direction to sub-contractors, ensuring adherence to best practices in installation, safety, and quality standards for steel structure assembly and mechanical systems.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with construction and procurement teams to identify and secure the necessary tools, materials, and consumables required for seamless site execution.
• Project Execution Oversight: Lead the installation of steel works, prepare detailed work packages for installation teams, and monitor progress to ensure timely and compliant delivery.
• Proposal and Knowledge Contribution: Support the proposals department by providing technical insights and lessons learned from past projects to enhance future bids and proposals.
• Quality Assurance and Handover: Work alongside the quality team to conduct inspections, resolve snag points, and facilitate smooth project handover to the client, ensuring full compliance with specifications and standards.
• Risk Management and Prevention: Proactively identify potential failure risks in engineering deliverables and coordinate with the Engineering and Drafting teams to implement preventive measures and corrective actions.
• Compliance and Safety: Uphold and enforce occupational health, safety, security, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) practices throughout all site activities, ensuring a secure and sustainable work environment.
• Technical Supervision: Oversee all mechanical-related works at the site, ensuring alignment with approved drawings, engineering standards, and installation methodologies.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in steel structure practices within the industrial automation sector, with a strong focus on baggage handling systems, material handling systems, or similar high-precision environments.
• Mobility and Adaptability: Willingness and ability to work on projects across various locations within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, demonstrating flexibility and cultural adaptability.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of engineering analysis tools, mechanical design principles, and installation best practices, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with internal stakeholders, sub-contractors, and international teams across diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Language Skills: Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Proficiency in Arabic or additional languages is considered a valuable asset for enhanced communication in the regional context.
