Cyber Security Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures to protect our organization’s digital infrastructure from evolving cyber threats. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, a deep understanding of security protocols, and a passion for safeguarding sensitive data and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Architecture & Implementation: Develop and deploy advanced security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection platforms, to fortify our network against cyber attacks.
• Threat Monitoring & Incident Response: Proactively monitor security alerts, analyze potential threats, and lead rapid incident response efforts to mitigate risks and minimize downtime in the event of a breach.
• Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify security weaknesses, and collaborate with IT teams to remediate findings promptly.
• Security Policy & Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR, by developing and enforcing comprehensive security policies and procedures.
• Security Awareness Training: Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices, including phishing awareness, password hygiene, and safe internet usage, to foster a culture of security awareness across the organization.
• Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and executive leadership, to align security initiatives with business objectives and provide regular updates on risk assessments and security posture.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or CISM are highly desirable.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), and cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail to identify and address security vulnerabilities effectively.
• Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making.
• Experience: Minimum of five years in cybersecurity roles, with a proven track record in designing and implementing security solutions for enterprise environments.
