HYCO Operator

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HYCO Operator to join our esteemed team at Air Products in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia. This on-site position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the production and maintenance of hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and syngas facilities, ensuring operational excellence and safety compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Process Operation: Monitor and control hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and syngas production processes using advanced control systems and instrumentation to maintain optimal performance and efficiency.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of HYCO-related equipment, including compressors, reactors, and heat exchangers, to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, emergency response procedures, and environmental regulations to safeguard personnel and assets.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks and tests to verify product specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of operational data, maintenance activities, and incident reports in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and supervisors, to optimize processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to operational anomalies, equipment failures, or safety incidents, following established emergency protocols to mitigate risks.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Diploma or degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. Relevant certifications in process operations or industrial safety are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HYCO operations, hydrogen production, or a similar industrial environment, with a proven track record in process control and equipment maintenance.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of process control systems, instrumentation, and industrial equipment. Familiarity with DCS (Distributed Control Systems) and SCADA systems is preferred.
• Safety Awareness: In-depth knowledge of safety protocols, hazard identification, and risk assessment in compliance with OSHA, ISO, or other relevant standards.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze operational data, identify trends, and troubleshoot issues to ensure efficient and safe production processes.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
• Physical Requirements: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in confined spaces or at elevated heights.

Work Environment

The HYCO Operator will work in a state-of-the-art industrial facility located in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia.
