Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and meticulous Watchmaker to join our team at Saddik & Mohamed Attar Company. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service by performing high-quality watch repairs, cleaning, and adjustments with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that each timepiece is restored to optimal functionality while maintaining the integrity of its original design and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Watch Servicing: Conduct thorough and timely watch repairs, including regular maintenance and complex adjustments, to meet the highest standards of quality.
• Component Replacement and Repair: Carefully dismantle watches to identify, repair, or replace individual components as required, ensuring minimal disruption to the timepiece’s structure.
• Precision Cleaning and Lubrication: Clean watch parts meticulously, apply appropriate lubrication to moving components, and adjust the movement to restore optimal performance.
• Accuracy Testing and Calibration: Test watch accuracy, demagnetize components, and adjust timing regulators to ensure precise timekeeping.
• Reassembly and Quality Assurance: Reassemble the watch with the utmost care, restoring it to its original condition before returning it to the client. Conduct final inspections to guarantee flawless functionality.
• Parts Management: Identify required replacement parts and submit detailed job orders to the spare parts team to facilitate efficient repairs.

Your Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A WOSTEP Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Horology is mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a watchmaker, with a preference for candidates experienced in servicing Rolex watches.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of watchmaking tools and machinery, including their design, application, repair, and maintenance. Familiarity with tools such as loupes, drill presses, truing calipers, watch-rate recorders, tweezers, and demagnetizing machines is essential.
• Soft Skills: Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic environment. A commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism is non-negotiable.
• Language and Computer Skills: Fluency in written and spoken English, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operating systems.
