Key Responsibilities

The Master Data Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our data infrastructure. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining and Updating Master Data: Accurately record, update, and manage master data records within ERP, CRM, and other relevant systems to ensure they reflect current business operations.
• Ensuring Data Integrity: Conduct regular audits, validations, and reconciliations to identify discrepancies, correct errors, and maintain the highest standards of data quality across all systems.
• Collaborating with Stakeholders: Work closely with IT, finance, supply chain, sales, and other departments to gather, validate, and refine data requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance standards.
• Supporting Data Migration and Cleanup: Assist in data migration projects, including cleansing, deduplication, and standardization, to enhance system performance and usability. Contribute to ongoing data cleanup initiatives to eliminate redundancies and improve efficiency.
• Developing Processes and Best Practices: Design, document, and implement robust master data management processes, workflows, and guidelines to streamline operations and promote consistency across the organization.
• Training and Support: Provide comprehensive training and guidance to end-users on master data standards, procedures, and system functionalities. Serve as a knowledgeable resource for resolving data-related queries and challenges.
• Monitoring Data Quality: Proactively identify and address data quality issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize operational disruptions and mitigate risks associated with inaccurate or incomplete data.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in master data management, data administration, or a closely related field. A diploma or certification in data management, business administration, or a relevant discipline is advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data validation tools, to ensure precise data manipulation and analysis.
• Analytical Mindset: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels. A collaborative approach to problem-solving and project execution is essential.
• Organizational Abilities: Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving business needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Additional Assets: Familiarity with data cleansing, validation, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools, as well as experience with ERP or CRM systems, will be considered a plus.
