The Opportunity

We are actively seeking a proactive and experienced IT Supervisor to join our dynamic team at the Launceston production facility. This hands-on position is essential to the seamless operation of all on-site IT systems, directly contributing to production efficiency and delivering high-quality, client-focused IT services. Key Responsibilities

As the IT Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of Group IT initiatives at the site level while ensuring the reliability and security of all IT infrastructure. Your role will encompass a wide range of technical and managerial duties, including:

• Managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and security systems, to ensure optimal performance and data protection
• Diagnosing and resolving system issues promptly to minimise downtime and maintain production continuity
• Providing expert support for hardware and software, including PCs, laptops, printers, and phones, to ensure end-user productivity
• Configuring and installing IT solutions, managing user accounts, backups, and security protocols
• Ensuring production systems and factory terminals remain fully operational at all times
• Collaborating closely with the Maintenance team to replace failed hardware and restore functionality efficiently
• Configuring new products on factory terminals and ensuring compliance with label standards
• Planning and executing system upgrades with minimal disruption to production schedules
• Evaluating software updates and consulting with production teams to enhance functionality and efficiency
• Promoting proper hardware care practices and maintaining high barcode quality standards
• Acting as the primary on-site IT contact, offering guidance, training, and support to users across all departments
• Upholding help desk KPIs and delivering exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders
• Managing the resolution of business-critical system issues and communicating updates effectively
• Participating in cross-functional projects, including IT, LEAN initiatives, and telecoms, to drive continuous improvement
• Collaborating with IT Management to develop and implement policies, systems, and innovative solutions
• Managing IT procurement within budgetary and Capex guidelines to ensure cost-effective operations
• Preparing detailed reports and summaries for site leadership to support data-driven decision-making
• Championing continuous improvement initiatives and managing IT system changes proactively
• Providing emergency IT support outside standard working hours when required to ensure uninterrupted operations

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will possess:

• Proven experience in IT support within a production or manufacturing environment, demonstrating a deep understanding of operational technology
• Strong technical knowledge of networks, servers, and security systems, with a focus on hybrid cloud and data centre technologies
• Fluency in English with excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Exceptional time management and prioritisation abilities to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic setting
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively, adapting to the demands of a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Help Desk Support & Management, Windows Environment Administration, Call Management Systems, and Network & Printer Support
