Senior Financial Planning Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Planning Analyst to join our Finance team. This pivotal role is designed to drive financial excellence through meticulous budgeting, cost control, and strategic financial analysis. Key Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Planning Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of financial functions, including:

• Budgeting & Cost Control:
  • Conduct thorough reviews of key project costs and monthly budget reports to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Evaluate purchase requests to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints and cost efficiency goals.
  • Develop and maintain detailed cost forecasts in collaboration with cross-functional departments, including the creation of standardized templates and formats for consistency.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting:
  • Design and execute purposeful Excel-based analyses and reports to support strategic financial planning and operational decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of comprehensive financial presentations, ensuring clarity and accuracy in data visualization.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks as directed by the FP&A Manager to address evolving business needs.
• Process Documentation & Compliance:
  • Document and refine financial processes, particularly in cost control and reporting, to enhance efficiency and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Contribute to accounting reconciliations where required, ensuring alignment with financial policies and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration & Communication

This role requires seamless collaboration with internal stakeholders across all functional departments to gather financial insights, align on budgetary goals, and foster a culture of financial accountability. The Senior Financial Planning Analyst will act as a trusted advisor to management, providing clear and concise financial insights through both written reports and oral presentations. Strong interpersonal skills are essential to build and maintain productive relationships with colleagues, external partners, and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Professional certifications such as FMVA (Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst) or SOCPA (Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants) registration are highly desirable.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of progressive experience in a similar financial planning and analysis role, with a proven track record in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Technical & Soft Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory to facilitate clear communication across global teams.
