Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of financial and operational duties, including but not limited to:

• Invoice Management and Accuracy: Lead the preparation, review, and issuance of precise invoices for Wholesale International Services customers, ensuring full compliance with approved billing agreements, contracts, and regulatory requirements. Verify the accuracy and completeness of all invoices before processing to mitigate discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
• Settlement and Reconciliation: Oversee the reconciliation of settlements for international services provided by STC and its global partners, including IP, satellite, and connectivity services. Coordinate with Finance to verify expense invoices, schedule payments, and ensure alignment with contractual terms and organizational policies.
• Collection and Discrepancy Resolution: Act as a key liaison between Wholesale International Services and international operators, partners, and internal stakeholders to resolve billing, collection, and payment discrepancies promptly. Implement follow-up strategies to ensure outstanding invoices are addressed efficiently, minimizing payment delays and financial risks.
• Financial Closing and Reporting: Support the monthly financial closing process by validating wholesale financial data and ensuring its accuracy before release to the General Ledger. Prepare comprehensive periodic reports on invoicing, settlements, collections, payments, and outstanding balances, providing actionable insights for financial decision-making.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate closely with Sales, Purchasing, and Wholesale Services Management to align settlement and billing processes with strategic business objectives. Coordinate system enhancements and process improvements to enhance settlement efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with evolving industry standards.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure strict adherence to organizational policies, quality standards, approved agreements, and applicable regulatory requirements. Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with international transactions, safeguarding the organization’s reputation and financial stability.
• Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement in billing, settlement, and financial processes by identifying inefficiencies and proposing data-driven solutions. Support the testing and implementation of system enhancements to streamline operations and enhance overall performance.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must possess a strong foundation in financial operations, coupled with a proven track record of success in high-impact environments. We are seeking an experienced professional with the following qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced certifications in financial management, telecom billing, or international trade are highly advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive experience in billing, settlement, accounts receivable/payable, reconciliation, or financial operations, with a preference for candidates with expertise in the telecommunications or wholesale industry. Experience managing cross-functional teams and international stakeholders is a significant asset.
• Technical and Analytical Skills: Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools. Strong analytical and reporting skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and recommend strategic improvements.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of wholesale telecom services, international agreements, and regulatory frameworks governing cross-border transactions. Familiarity with IP, satellite, and connectivity services is essential.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Exceptional leadership abilities to mentor junior team members and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Sales, Purchasing, and Wholesale Services Management. Strong communication skills to negotiate with international partners and resolve complex financial disputes.
