Maintenance Technician (Mechanical)

About the Role

Rawaa Al-Afaq Trading Company L.L.C. is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in mechanical systems, with a focus on medical gas infrastructure, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• System Operations and Maintenance: Serve as the primary on-site technician responsible for the operation and maintenance of the facility’s medical gas systems, including Air plants, Vacuum plants, Manifolds, and Alarm systems.
• Daily Inspections: Perform routine daily inspections of medical gas systems to identify potential issues, ensuring all components function optimally and safely. Maintain a detailed daily activity log to track system performance and maintenance activities.
• Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Execute both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to uphold system integrity, reduce downtime, and extend equipment lifespan. Diagnose faults promptly and perform on-site repairs to restore functionality with minimal disruption.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to HTM 02-01 standards and international healthcare safety codes, maintaining a safe and compliant working environment. Implement best practices to mitigate risks and enhance operational safety.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records for all maintenance activities. Provide timely reports on equipment status to the engineer in charge, facilitating informed decision-making and proactive maintenance planning.

Requirements

• A mechanical technical diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in maintaining industrial or medical gas plant systems, including compressors, vacuum pumps, and manifold control panels.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve system faults efficiently.
• Familiarity with medical gas systems and a commitment to adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, prioritizing tasks to meet operational demands.
