Role Overview

As a Door Attendant at Raffles The Red Sea, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional arrival and departure experience for our elite guests. Your presence at the entrance will set the tone for their stay, embodying the brand’s Emotional Luxury philosophy through warm, attentive, and memorable interactions. This position requires a blend of professionalism, elegance, and a deep commitment to anticipating and exceeding guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Engagement: Extend a warm, sincere greeting to guests upon arrival and departure, addressing them by name and title to create a personalized and welcoming experience.
• Door Service: Open and close vehicle and resort doors with grace, precision, and professionalism, ensuring every arrival and departure is executed flawlessly.
• Collaboration: Work in seamless coordination with the Bell Team, Valet, and Front Office to manage luggage, transportation, and other guest needs efficiently and discreetly.
• Valet Support: Assist the Valet team with parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and responsibly, maintaining the highest standards of service.
• Entrance Maintenance: Ensure the hotel entrance and public areas are impeccably clean, well-presented, and free of defects, reflecting the resort’s luxury standards.
• Storytelling & Insight: Act as an ambassador for the resort by sharing knowledge about its nature-focused concept and the unique natural beauty of the Red Sea destination, enhancing the guest experience with engaging narratives.
• Anticipatory Service: Proactively identify and address guest needs before they arise, providing assistance with discretion and warmth to create a bespoke experience.
• Safety & Security: Monitor the entrance area for any unusual activities or hazards, ensuring the safety and security of guests and staff while maintaining smooth traffic flow.
• Compliance: Adhere rigorously to all Raffles and Accor hygiene, safety, and service standards to uphold the brand’s reputation for excellence.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education & Experience: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is advantageous. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury 5-star hotel or resort is essential.
• Driving & Vehicle Handling: Must possess a valid driving license and demonstrate experience in handling luxury vehicles with care and professionalism.
• Communication & Presentation: Excellent communication skills are mandatory, along with a professional appearance and etiquette that align with luxury hospitality standards. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic and other languages is highly desirable.
• Physical Requirements: The ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move objects exceeding 75 pounds is necessary to perform the duties of this role effectively.
• Personal Attributes: A "Be Kind" and "Be Happy" personality, characterized by empathy, emotional intelligence, and a genuine passion for guest service, is critical to success in this position.
• Pre-Opening Experience: Prior experience in a resort pre-opening environment is highly valued, as is a deep understanding of ultra-luxury guest expectations and brand alignment.
